The Big 12, with 7 ranked teams, is currently lead by an unranked team.

I'm still trying to decide if Kansas State belongs in the tier of the Big 12 with Oklahoma, Texa$, Baylor, etc. or the tier with TCU and Tech. It wouldn't completely stun me if this conference gets 8 teams in the tourney, but with teams beating up on each other it's nearly impossible.

Really tough game on Tuesday coming up. I hope we don't have a let down game. Although, the same can be said for them. Luckily this one is in Hilton.

I absolutely LOATHE Purple Kitty. I hope the team doesn't have any GameDay hangovers on Tuesday. I will be pleased with a win (at a minimum), but I really want to completely dominate that team -- I'm hoping the score is something like 93-52.

Pretty sure it only matters where you finish. At this point records are more reflective of who and where you have played so far rather than how good you are.

Kind of glad theyre on the top right now, wouldnt want us overlooking them after a big weekend.

Probably says something about the league being way overrated.

Wut? How is the league overrated?

KSU has one good win.... at OU. Barely beating TCU and TT is nothing to brag home about. A 2 pt win at home against Baylor isn't much to brag about since Baylor is horrible away from home generally.

Granted, you cannot take KSU lightly at all though. If they can win at OU, and can beat Baylor, you have to take them seriously as a team that can beat anyone on any given night.

But I wouldn't put too much stock in them being #1 right now in the conference. ISU is 3-1, but all 4 of those games were against ranked competition. That's much different than KSU's schedule thus far.

We're 3-1 against a pretty rough start to the schedule.
KU at home. Top 1-2 home game on anyone's schedule.
OKSt at home. Mid to mid high level team at home.
@WVU. Hardest road game on a schedule except for Hilton and Phog.
@Baylor. Mid level team on road.

Coming through that first four games a last second shot/iffy call away from 4-0. Well done Cyclones. We haven't even got to the teams we "should" sweep yet. Unfortunately this year I think that's only 4 games, I'd have said 6 before Foster/KSU woke up a bit.

You won't a result like that in any conference game. Iowa State or otherwise.

You have 3 ranked wins; K-State has 2 ranked wins. Not all that different. We'll see Tuesday night how bad these Cats are when they visit Ames. Can't see them hanging with the league's best away from the Octagon.

Probably says something about the league being way overrated.

Says more about some teams get Tech/TCU in their first few games and some don't.

Do you think you'd be 4-1 if you started with @WVU, KU, @Baylor, OkState, ISU? (that's our start flipping KSU for ISU)

You're saying ISU and K-State are equatable? I don't think so. ISU way, way better particularly at Ames.

KSU is in our first 5 games. Should I have asked if you could beat yourself?

I'm just saying your schedule was perhaps a win or two more favorable in its first few games than ISU's. I don't think you'd have been skunked even with the toughest schedule start, just not 4-1.

Good thing is that other than injuries/suspensions the schedule evens out in our league. Last year Virginia didn't play any of the best ACC teams twice in league and had to validate themselves winning their tournament.
