Ozigbo commits to Nebraska

About the only problem that I have with this switch is that last summer Ozigbo wanted assurances that he would be the only RB recruited by Iowa State. The coaching staff gave him that assurance. Nice pay back.....

Interesting note (in the Rivals interview with Ozigbo) is that he stated that he wanted assurances from Nebraska that he would be their only RB recruited for this class.

Last year, we ended up with Michael Warren when Tommy Mister did a late switch. Suppose that there is another good running back out there ? I would say that there are still very good running backs not committed.

I forgot about that. Now that's some serious ********. If you want a team to lean solely on you fine, but you better have some loyalty if they do that like they did.

You can only laugh any more and cry I guess. Good luck selling the program with a coach that wont be there in 2016.

I keep seeing stuff acting like this is one of many today. Have there been others besides Ozigbo, yancy, and big dog?

It's a freakin running back. They are a dime a dozen. Show me a DL leaving or and I will freak out. Not concerned at all about this. No big deal.

Yeah, I remember that ******** by Ozigbo. This is how I feel today:

And before anyone responds with the usual "don't blame the kids" ********, the commitment goes both ways. These recruits use our offer as a fallback plan and sometimes it being their first Power 5 school offer gets them noticed by schools that did not pursue them before. Total ********.

I was exchanging texts with a buddy this past week, and joked back that Iowa State's motto for football is 'Why bother?'.

I think it sticks to a lot of areas of the program.

I'm sure there is an overlooked Iowa home grown guy we can get whose just as good. We don't need those third tier Texas recruits anyway.

:jimlad: In case it wasn't obvious.

I learned a long time ago that life is much more enjoyable when you don't get mad at a 17 year old kid for choosing where to go to school. Am I disappointed? Absolutely. But I can't be mad at the kid

RB is one of the least of our worries. We need a good one, but worthless wo a good OL or defense.

I imagine it's not hard to recruit against us these days. "Hey, do you really want to play for a team who has ONE 5 games in two years, in Iowa, whose coach is about to get fired?"

That and their fans English sucks balls! :wideeyed: I wanted this kid, but I question if he has what it takes to put the time and effort in to make it through 5 years of D1 football. Just seems like the type of kid who is all about himself and if he doesn't get his way he will take his ball and go home.

Hope he proves me wrong because then we can see him at least run over the Hawks if he stays at running back.

Can we steal one from UNI? Or NDSU like the Rocket?
