Iowa v Tenn

I'm the furthest thing from a Ferentz supporter but that shouldn't be all that surprising. Ferentz has been at Iowa for 16 years and Helfrich is in his 2nd year with no prior head coaching experience. You can bet if he beats Ohio State his contract will be renegotiated and higher than Kirks but he's still playing with Chip Kelly's recruits.

Let's hope for another 10 more

Hopefully Rhoads

What is the thinking behind that though, because you get another guy he's going to use ISU as a stepping stone like Chizik did (albeit without any result). Whereas, by keeping Rhoads, if he does turn things around he'd be less likely to ever leave. ... Just don't sign him to a 10 year contract if the latter ever happened.

Pretty sure that post was more a commentary on ISU fans wanting Ferentz around because he blows rather than them thinking the can improve on Rhoads.

  • Did you hear Iowa Football had to close down its website?

Yeah, ya gotta have 3 w's in a row for a website.

This is a joke for Iowa State football … and literally only applies to them this year since they didn't win 3 games.

ISU needs to get Stoops, Bielema, Frost, etc. If they only stay a few years you cross that road when you get there

If the goal is to elevate the program, this is exactly what a school like ISU has to do. Build it up to the point where a good coach will want to stay more than a 3-4 years. It'll take time, but that's how it goes.

I don't get why Iowa fans are surprised by getting stomped by an SEC team. They didn't beat anybody this year.

They do, however, have a right to be mad for finishing with the record they have. Drake would make a bowl with that schedule.

Actually the score did not look that bad for what I saw on the field.

Agreed. I was being sarcastic about those coaches though.
