Taking a Knee...

Id rather they just scored it. Wouldve put this one in the record books as 4th worst margin of victory in cyclone history. Add that to the worst margin that Rhoads claimed last year.

I don't know that I have ever seen that in my life with that much time left on the clock. Amazing.

Welcome back to the Duncan/Criner/Walden era of ISU ineptitude... on national TV no less

I thought it was classy of Patterson. Good show of sportsmanship. Gary has stated that he believes in karma. Some might have problems understanding class. I would respect our coaching staff if they did the same in such situations.

When is the last time a Big 12 team took a knee against another Big 12 team with 4 minutes left in a game? I'm not sure if taking a knee is good sportsmanship or rubbing it in.

We are a historically bad team, so making history isn't surprising.

Pretty sure it was sportsmanship. If they wanted to rub it in they would have scored at least 2 more times and left the starters in the entire game.

Maybe it could be rubbing it in with a different coach, but not Gary. He could have punched in another score at the end of the KU game which would have made that game look better to the committee, but he didn't. In this case, with this coach, he was being respectful.

So how do you explain the first 55 points? If he was respectful, he would have only scored 35 points.

For most programs, this would be a defining moment to drive a change. It won't be for ISU and that is all you need to know.

I can't believe I have to explain this......because it was the end of the game. Any one remember Art putting in his starters at the end of the game last year in attempts to ensure a shut out? That, my friend, is classless.

I would respect our coaching staff if we were in the same situation (ahead by 50+ with 4 minutes left and conference champion.)
