I promised i would come here to eat my crow if we lost, and suprise, suprise we were embarrassed. lay it on me because i was wrong.

We were hot and you had a few too many turnovers. I'm afraid Mr. Anderson was out-coached in game prep. He did make good half-time adjustments though. Arkansas will win a lot of games. I will add that his incessant chirping at the officials was really irritating. Reminded me that he coached at Mizzou.

Good try. You came to a hostile environment and gave it your best but came up a little short. Onwards and upwards.

It just happens sometimes, especially on the road. We got stomped by West Virginia on the road last year, and had a very good team come tournament time.

You still have a good team. There won't be a ton of teams where the press and run them out of the gym thing won't work. ISU with 4 really good ball handlers in the starting 5 who also happen to play best when things are ridiculously fast is one of those few.

Go tear up the SEC!

No way we could keep up with the fastest 40 minutes in basketball. If any starter plays more than 30 min we will be gassed and overwhelmed. Sorry bud, we tried to tell you you don't win here unless your Kansas.

Btw, Portis is LaMarcus Aldridge. He was way impressive. I'll be rooting for you guys the rest of the year

Don't worry about it. You're supposed to be optimistic about your team. Thanks for posting on the board. It's almost too bad that the SEC doesn't care too much about basketball, but y'all will tear it up in conference and hopefully you give Kentucky and Florida fits! Have a great season!

Outside of MAYBE Duke and Kentucky, I'm not sure we could have lost to anyone the way we played last night in Hilton.

As Arkansas fans know, on your home court is where you play your best ball usually, and that was indeed the case last night.

No big deal, you guys still have a great team. We just had a better game plan and the guys to be able to execute it.

If you could do us all one small favor; please ask Hogfather over on Hogsville what he thinks of Georges Niang now.

I'm not sure if ISU could have played any better, literally. That was a lot of fun to watch as a fan. Good luck the rest of the season, and knock off Kentucky for us!

All in good fun. Thanks for the intelligent (no pun) posts and go enjoy a good season in the SEC. You guys will make some noise.

Yes, please do this. I wonder now if he could get a starting spot on Hogfather's team

ISU will win every game where the other team presses every play for the first 15 minutes as long as Morris and Niang are playing together. I couldn't think of two better players to beat a press and translate to easy baskets on the other side. BDJ a pretty good tool for it too.

It's the best assist-turnover ratio point guard ever working with a forward who handles the ball and passes like a point guard, that's a recipe for disaster for teams that want to press every time and why many of us were so confident that the press and pace would help ISU.

We'll struggle against tall bulky teams that slow it down. Your guys were actually hitting pretty well from outside and it didn't matter because the Arkansas strategy played to ISU's strengths.

I don't see it as that. I see it as a system that ran into the wrong kind of team. Perhaps he should have focused more on plan B, but at the same time, you have to try to do what you are designed to do.

At least you were able to come back on here the next day and admit it. Honestly, I give Arkansas a lot of credit for pulling it within 10 in the second half, they made some good halftime adjustments to try and crawl back in the game, and the press was giving us fits. Take pride in the fact that you were able to limit Morris's assist to turnover ratio to 2. Looking at Arkansas's schedule, I would not be shocked to see them only lose 4 or 5 games this season.

It was a fairly competitive game when they slowed it down and stopped pressing. When they were pushing tempo and pressing ISU was on pace to score 135...that's math not hyperbole.
