I apologize in advance if a similar thread already exist, I spent 2 minutes searching for one and didn't find one.

Anyway, once ISU's roster is fully loaded on Dec 20, what will our starting line up be? Below are my thoughts.

  1. Niang
  2. Morris
  3. Dejean-Jone/Hogue
  4. Thomas/Long
  5. McKay

Thoughts?

switch Hogue and Thomas and I think you have it about right...

1. Morris
2. Dejean-Jones
3. Niang/Hogue
4. Niang/ Hogue
5. Mckay

Hogue on bench and Thomas in starting lineup. Good luck with that...

With the 20th being McKay's first eligible game I don't think he actually starts. I think we'll go with the line up that we've established over the next few games and McKay checks in at the first time out. My guess would be:

Morris
BDJ
Long
Hogue
Niang

After the Drake game I think McKay starts at the 5 with the line up of:

Morris
BDJ
Hogue
Niang
McKay

Really Gunnerclone!? Keep it on the Football Forum.

PS. Have faith, Rhoads will be here at least one more season regardless, as it woould be too costly to fire him now. Something to the effect of $9 million dollars, which quite frankly ISU can't afford right now.

What happened to McCoy? I thought I heard some good things about McKat too... they should be able to provide solid minutes off the bench and post presence behind McKay

Morris, BDJ, Niang, and Hogue are lock for starting. Naz/McKay will be the last one to fill. If we want spread the offense, we go with Naz, if we want the rim protector/height in the middle, start with McKay.

Morris
BDJ
Dustin
Georges
McKay

Then you have lots of instant offense off the bench: Long, Thomas, Nadar (guys that can play 2-4). Then Edozie can be the enforcer and give fouls if needed for Mckay / Niang. Monte will average 38 min/game for the season, unless Custer makes some strides to catch up (mono set him back it looks).

Custer
Stensland
Jackson
Dorsey-Walker
Edozie or The Greek

I am not sure who first off the bench will be....

Wasn't Naz originally a point guard? I realize Naz has been converted into a shooting guard, but he did that somewhat out of necessity (last year we had Kane and Monte at the point).

So if Custer isn't ready for Big 12 basketball, I think we already have a capable backup point guard in Naz. Besides, we don't want to see Monte playing 38 mpg for the entire season. Naz would only need to play 5-6 minutes per game at the point.
