Not a bad pickup for them. McKinnon has missed practice with back issues, and Asiata has a concussion. He's no prize pig, but Tate could be a nice stopgap.

As a Vikings fan../. Meh.

The guy showed ability with Houston. I'm under no illusions about Minnesota's season. They're not going anywhere. Finishing strong would be nice. But, they've got holes at running back. Asiata is too slow to be effective and McKinnon is young. And with both of them suffering nagging injuries currently, this is about as good as you can do. Who else should they have picked up? Blount? Ray Rice?

I'd be good for a run at a high draft position, at this point--but that's gonna happen anyway.

It's not like we're competing to win the division this year. I see it as a waste of a waiver. Sign a free agent, hand him the rock while McKinnon and Asiata are dinged up, and plan on getting good draft position for next year.

They'll get beat this weekend, but the final 5 games are winnable. The toughest matchups are @Miami and @Detroit. Neither of those teams are all that scary. I'd love to see Minnesota go 3-3 the rest of the way, and give Teddy a little confidence going into next year. They'll still likely get pick in the 10-15 range, but I think it would help if they felt like they had something to build on for next year.

Are you drunk Mr. J? We'll get trucked @ Detroit. Hell, we just lost to the Bears.

Detroit is Detroit is Detroit. I don't get surprised when they lose any game. Minnesota very well might get stomped, but Stafford is more than capable of laying an egg. Their offense has been junk as of late. That said, the Vikings have 3 very winnable home games left against Carolina, New York and Chicago. And Detroit and Miami are not worldbeaters. Going 3-2 in the final 5 is definitely a possibility.

Further proof AP is done in Minny.

If I'm Clevelands GM I'm asking what it takes to make AP a Brown. Add AP with Joe Thomas anchoring that OL, Cameron at TE and Gordon at WR and Manziel could actually look pretty good in that offense.
