We will be there, first stop the legendary Wheel bar in the campus town area midmorning. Who else is going and where are you hanging out?

I'll be there with a couple buds from central Iowa. This will be my fist time to Lawrence. Definitely looking forward to see come Cyclones on Mass St!

I will be there. This is actually my second trip to Lawrence to see a football game. Since my niece is in the marching band at KU, I took in their game against CMU. Not going to root for KU this weekend! Go Clones!!!!

I'm not even sure I will watch the game on TV if the weather is nice. CPR football has become pathetic. The last straw for me was his leaving Sam in until he got hurt in a blow-out,....just plain stupid coaching. Golf in November has a nice ring to it.

Stayed in Lawrence that evening after attending the OSU game in Stillwater. Took the recommendation of the motel desk clerk and ate at a very good steak house in west Lawrence. SIX 6 MILE CHOP HOUSE & SIX 6 MILE TAVERN located at 4931 West 6th Street. check them out @ sixmilechophouse.com. I visited with the manager and their competition is Ruth Crisp's in downtown KC so they have to have the same quality at a slightly lower price. So if you have eaten at Ruth's this is similar quality at the mid to upper $30 range. It was excellent and I highly recommend.

We could have won the OSU game if not for successive screw ups on kick-off teams to end the first half and begin the 2nd half. I was in Lawrence for Sam R's unveiling two years ago and I hope he and the team is not so beat up that they can pull off another win. I predicted a 4 win season this summer and it is still a possibility but this is a must win if that is to happen. I do not think CPR has lost his team yet. They finished strong last year and they may do the same again.

I heard a caller in the post game show last week compare this situation to the Walden years. Not even close. Walden went 0 for whatever his last year and never beat Iowa and his recruiting was abysmal. CPR's problem has been lack of depth and ability to finish off a game. Examples the past two years vs. Texas and this years KSU game. DMac got 10 years and his first 5 were similar and his last 5 were improved. CPR's first 5 have included bowl games and big upsets. I say the next years will be rewarded. WE can not afford to start over.

I'll be there!

Stopping for some BBQ on the way through KC and meeting up with a couple buddies from KS (one works at KU and will cheer for Cyclones, the other is a K-Stater and will do the same. :-)

I'll be making the trip down.

In the KU road trip thread Adam says lot 90 is open but due to road construction there won't be a shuttle. It sounds like they are trying for lot 72 which is just north of Allen Fieldhouse
