What would YOU be satisfied with?

What would make satisfied

I'll be satisfied as long as we make the NCAA tournament. The tournament is a crapshoot with matchups, draws, etc. You never know what will happen so just having a shot at advancing and making the Final 4 is fine with me. If I had a fan-goal for the season, it would be the Final 4.

I voted for Sweet 16, but would rather win the conference and repeat as Big 12 tournament champs. And as a season nose-bleed ticket holder -- undefeated at home.

I can't believe some people have absolutely no sense of sarcasm/humor.

I think some people are overly sensitive to these comments floating out there without a Jimlad as they just feed the squawk trolls. If they have to post to make sure you clarify that you were indeed just making fun of the stereotype they will, every time.

With some of the dealings I've had over the years with that part of the state, I can understand why.

I'm going to be mean to oldman and say that I hope he gets bored out of his gourd watching ISU blow out team after team at home this year.

Hopefully with more depth and more defensive options Fred will be able to take the next step with much more consistency - and more wins - on the road this year.

I'm expecting Final 4. Some other things this year too: Dethroning KU from the top of the Big 12 comes to mind as well.

Hoiberg's goal is the National title, and I really believe if we had Niang for the run last year that we were surely going to the Final 4, in our bracket. There will be some slips and bumps along the way, but that will just add to the make-up of this team gelling together by NCAA Tourney time. *Getting a good bracket/location/seeding is everything, hopefully ISU is hooked up in that regard this year. (This is why I care about our ranking as it does influence some of the decision makers on the committee. National perception is at an all-time high right now.)

With all that said, hell yes I think we should be in the Final 4 this year. (But I understand if we got a tough bracket and only get Elite 8...still, this team's goal is to win it all. We all need to stand behind them!) GO CYCLONES!

Like others have said, the NCAA Tournament is pretty much a crap shoot. But, I can't help but really want to keep building on last year and make the Elite Eight. Truly anything past the second (third?) round should be considered gravy.

I just hope we're a tourney team every year and in the hunt for Big 12 title most years. Do that and the big runs and conference champs and tourneys will follow.

Even blue bloods can't consistently make deep ncaa runs.

Realistically if we can get to the sweet 16 year in and year out, I'm good with that. From then, you just have to be hot and get a little lucky. We had one of those two last year in the tourney.

If you're talking about being completely satisfied then it's going to take a final four. I'll be really happy with a sweet 16 and the regular season big12 title but not completely satisfied unless we get to the final four.

Winning the Big 12 would be tops on my list. I dont really care about the non con or anything else. The rest after that is gravy.

Do you just have a pron GIF server or something? My goodness.

Top 5 seed, undefeated at home, sweet 16, anything else is gravy for me.

I chose final 4 as satisfied, but even though I will be disappointed for the team if they don't finally break into that elite company of last four left to play. I will be satisfied with them going as far as they go. I would be bummed to not see at least another sweet 16, but I am proud of what Coach Hoiberg is building here and fully realize that a ton of great teams don't make it to the promised land each year. It is fantastic to be in a position as a fan to be able to realistically dream about competing for a Nat Champ, but also understand that the field is filled with teams that have that exact same dream and are also filled with high quality players and coaches all working tirelessly towards that same goal.

By definition that means you were okay with what happened in 2001 :err:

The ******* game is definitely a low spot in ISU hoops history. Regardless, that was one of our best seasons in the history of the program.

Iowa State sports have been pretty enjoyable for me the past few years. I've been able to celebrate all the wins and the joy that comes with it. But I've also been able to shrug off the losses.

A Fred Hoiberg coached basketball team is going to be well prepared and peak come tournament time. It's fun to just sit back and enjoy the ride. If they make the Final Four, I'll be thrilled. If not, I'll be excited to see what the next season brings. No need to (live and) die with the team, just enjoy the quality basketball.
