Hope there is a third Gasol brother who is 17 and wanting to come play college basketball in the US.

Hopefully the competition is better than the Italian trip where they played glorified 8th graders.

It's generally the best foreign professional basketball system, so if we can't find games there I doubt many of these will be anything beyond chemistry building.

Interesting, I would have thought we might have waited until 2016 when we would be introducing more new faces to the program, 2015 doesn't have too much turnover scheduled.

Can only go every 4 years I think so I would hope we would try to go as soon as possible.

I think it's great. Studying abroad for a semester was one of the greatest things I did in my life. It's not realistic for an athlete so at least they can have this type of shorter experience combined with some travel within the US. Having Tsalmpouris on the team is a good experience for the other guys too, college should be a time for learning how broad the world is.

I would think you'd want to go every four years to give all of your 4 year players a chance to take a trip. I see no advantage to waiting 2 more years.

Yeah waiting is dumb. I can understand his logic, but at the same time you can't predict overturn. Guys quit, transfer in/out, people unexpectedly step up or disappoint, guys go pro. There's a lot of variables that happen and it's best just to go as often as possible.
