I know I hate watching a team start 2-0. 0-2 with an fcs team spanking and a moral victory half does sound much more intriguing.

That's not even coming from Iowa State fans. Hard to argue when national web sites are starting to notice how much of a dumpster that division is. If Nebraska and Wisconsin don't alternate the next 15-20 B1G West titles, that will be an upset in itself.

What does it say about Iowa when the ISU-Iowa series is close to even the last 20 years?
This is exactly why Iowa fans say it is ISU's super bowl. You guys could give a crap less how bad ISU has been over those 20 year, and how good Iowa has been. All you care about is that one game as a measuring stick.

Beating Iowa is nice, but not the highlight of the season anymore. At one time it was but as many times as ISU has won this game over the last 20 years, it doesn't make or break the season. The main reason I enjoy this win is it makes Iowa fans shut up for a year.
You cannot go and rip on the ISU football program and say how great Iowa's is when ISU has had better or similar seasons to Iowa in 9 of the last 20 years.

This might be true for you, but those fans that try to judge Iowa's success or lack there of soley based on the matchup VS ISU only proves that they see that game as the measuring stick or "Super Bowl" if you will.
I would agree that beating Iowa would shut Iowa fans up. I only wish the same were true when Iowa beats ISU, as ISU fans never shut up, and will start blabbing on and on about the strength of NDSU, the Big12 and how the Hoks couldn't beat a team on ISU's impossible schedule.
Iowa plays in the worst division in the worst power 5 conference of all time...I think that's the main reason some fans bring up the match up since you can't really measure their success in Big Ten play
Yep, nobody was ticked off after the ND State game. We were all just looking ahead to Iowa. Maybe that's why we're 0-2, it's because CPR has been doing Iowa prep since the beginning of spring camp.
They will never admit it. They think losing to ndsu is ok because they would win the mac. Football and isu are a bad mix
Thx for proving my point. All ISU fans have is hypothetical matchups that Iowa supposedly couldn't win. Once again ISU fans measure every last thing to the Hawks #SuperBowl
I think you missed the point. I don't measure anything up to Iowa and I don't know any fans that do.
