Iowa may be the easiest win on the schedule.

Iowas defensive line is solid, but passed that, its not anything more then average. They played a pretty bad Ball State team today, so don't give their defense credit for holding them down. Id say out of ISU's first three games, Iowa probably has the least talent overall. ISU has gotten 3 of their last 4 wins on the road, so playing away from home will be nice.

Ball State was replacing 3 starters on their DL from last year too, and Iowa couldn't run on them. One of Iowa's tackles weighed 320+ lbs versus Ball State's 230 lb DE.... and they couldn't run behind that.

I'm not impressed. Sorry.

This coming from the guy who said "I think ISU's defense is going to surprise a lot of people". Keep em coming Curt. I like your predictions. They are usually wrong.

By the way Ball State won 10 games last year. I don't think they are anywhere close to being that kind of team this year, and I will not make excuses for the way Iowa performed today. That was a pathetic performance by the Iowa offense up until the last few minutes. The defense played lights out tho.

My biggest concern about Iowa is the lack of running game. That was the one aspect of the Hawks that most people thought would be a given this year, and it just hasn't been the case. When Iowa has actually spread it out they move the ball pretty efficiently (see the last 5 minutes of today's game). When they've tried to establish the running game it had been pretty ugly. I'm not sure the constant rotation at RB is a good thing. Personally, I think they should stick with Canzeri and Daniels. They just bring more to the table than Weisman and Bullock.

With that said, I was fully expecting Iowa to lose today and they pulled away with the W so I'll take it. They didn't deserve to win. I'm hoping it was a wake up call because if not I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised to see a loss to the Cyclones next weekend.

I have no problem eating some crow by the way. I didn't expect ISU to even compete today. When I saw the score at halftime I had to rub my eyes and double check a couple times. No points in the 2nd half hurt big time. Seems like there must be a struggle with consistency on offense? I didn't get to watch so I don't know. Either way, ISU must have played much better than i expected them to. I'm not near as comfortable about next week as I was yesterday.

ISU's defensive improvement from last week till this week nearly shocked me.

Iowa State's defense surprised a lot of people today in a good way. On top of that, you're the guy who said Rhoads lost the locker room. If he did he found them sometime during today's game, probably when we were down 13-0.

Posted this on Sept. 1st on HN.

IDK, I'm starting to back off some of the doom an gloom. I think ISU will be ready to go come saturday vs K-State. If I bet much, I'd probably lay some money on ISU as I see them covering, but I don't think they win. I think they play well enough that Iowa fans get a little nervous about the game, and the ISU d!pshits start predicting a W over Iowa.

I know one thing for sure, and that is ISU is Iowa's easiest opponent this year, and it really isn't close. Doesn't mean Iowa will beat ISU, as the only way to make the season successful for ISU, in winning their Super Bowl game Vs Iowa, so I'm sure ISU will be fired up and ready to play their Super Bowl on Saturday.

why are we dipshits when FreeRentz is sub .500 vs ISU since 1999?

It just proves Iowa fans continue to have an inflated opinion of themselves and their program.

Iowa fans don't really care about KF's record against ISU in ISU's Super Bowl games, that is how ISU judges its seasons, not Iowa

Did you also predict Iowa looking like garbage against an even more garbage team?

Nope, I picked Iowa to cover.....missed on that one, but I was spot on my ISU pick.

Still think Ball St. >>> ISU. I'd bet right now Ball St. goes bowling and ISU does not.

LOL, really isn't close? You play Purdue, Indiana, Maryland, and Northwestern in four straight games. That might be the easiest four-game stretch in college football scheduling history.

It is an easy schedule, and ISU is the easiest of the easy games Iowa plays.

Purdue? Northwestern?

Sounds like you just have a soft spot for other teams that lose to Northern Illinois and Central Michigan because they have a lot in common with you.

Umm, those are Mac schools. ISU lost to a FcS school.

Really Jon Miller? worse than Indiana, Purdue, Northwestern, Ball State?

The thing is, 95% of Iowa fans truly believe after today that Ball State is as good or better than K-State

That is their mindset the last 30 years. That is the media's perception too

That is where ignorance meets arrogance

I forgot how awesome the MAC is!

Go ahead and tell yourself that NDSU or UNI could compete in the Mac if it makes you feel better. I'll bookmark this and let you know about it when ISU plays Toledo. I mean they are a lowly "Mac" school, so I'm sure they have no shot in beating powerhouses like ISU and NDSU.

You sound angry. Does it have anything to do with you and so many of your conference foes losing to MAC teams?
