Me too, fans are being stupid right now. Messingham was horrid so what does Paul do? Gets rid of him. Klenakis was horrible, so what does Paul do? Gets rid of him.
Weren't we, as a fan base wanting these guys gone? Didn't he do just what we wanted? Maybe we should give Mangino and new staff some time before we go calling out Rhoads.
How about Lane Kiffin? He doesn't want to stay as a coordinator for long anymore. He would probably take the job if we offered it to him.
I'd take Lane....but honestly he's probably going to be pretty comfortable at Bama for a while as OC.
I still support CPR, I mean he is our coach, but that doesn't make him a good coach. And I'm tired of "oh we are Iowa State, can't win here" we just got stopped by a 3 time defending champ from North freaking Dakota, ya nowhereville.
Saying you don't want Kiffin because he isn't that good of a coach is laughable. He has a 35-21 record as a head coach. That's way better than Rhoads has done. If you're going to sit here and say you'd rather have Rhoads than Kiffin, you have to be pretty dumb. I'll take almost anyone over Rhoads.
He's trying to win here, he surrounded himself with the best staff IMO. It just takes time, and this time I truly believe that we will see improvements over the course of this year to make us super excited for next year.
Takes time?! He's in his sixth year! That's more than enough time! Stop coming up with excuses. I love the support, but he's not the right guy. We've been patient and he just isn't doing it here.
Lane also burned the bridge at Tennessee, was so bad at USC that he was fired at the airport and not allowed back on campus and Al Davis basically said he was a skunk
It would be a horrible train wreck if LK was hired to coach ISU.
He just fired basically his whole staff on offense and hired new staff, if you think that won't take time then you are the one coming up with excuses.
