What will make you happy this year??

Win a bowl game, much improved offense, improved defense, competitive into the 4th quarter of every game.

Are you requiring all of those or just one? If it's all, I'd just fast forward to December with your attitude set as disappointed if I were you.

Same standard as every year, I'll be happy if we make a bowl. Don't care too much how exactly get there.

These are a bit repetitive, but:

- Play hard; play with passion; play with a swagger
- Have an identity on both sides of the ball
- Creativity in play calling (on both sides of the ball)
- HIT SOMEBODY GETTING OFF THE ******* BUS

- Win the games we "should win" by a comfortable margin (I include week 1 here, although I know that's far from a gimme)
- Get at least 1 upset of a moderate/major kind.
- QB & WR chemistry
- 28+ PPG

1) 1000 yard rusher or 1500 split between 2 backs
2) 3000+ yards passing
3) Someone to emerge as at least a potential future all-big 12 at every defensive position group (DE, DT, LB, CB, S).

The first two would show me that the line is finally playing well.

The second would show me that the receivers are finally Big XII level.

The last would give me hope that a truly good defense may be on the horizon.

#1 More wins than last year.
#2 Obvious signs that 2015 will be a 'turn the corner' season.
#3 Win against Snyder or Stoops.
#4 No blowout losses.
#5 Surprise big-time commit due to #2.

that might only be one or two games all year, according to most. are we ever favored in more games than that?

Speaking strictly win-loss record, I'd be thrilled with a 6-6 regular season and a bowl win. That'd be solid progress with expectations of finally turning the corner (in the right direction) next season.

But since the OP said record aside, I would love to see CPR notch wins against KSU and Oklahoma this year. Although if that were to somehow miraculously happen, I would be setting my sights a hell of a lot higher than 6-6.

Just because money moved the line doesn't change the fact that the oddsmakers think NDSU is still better.

The oddsmakers are interested in making money, not who is better. It was a statement on what they believed bettors thought about the matchup. Just like in trading, do you want to be right or do you want to make money are not the same questions.

- Would love to start 2-0 with an upset win over KSU.
- Could care less about Iowa game then, giving them a scare and demonstrating they are an average team would be fine.
- One more big upset somewhere.
- Don't crap our pants against Toledo or KU.
- Surprisingly salty defense. Average 2+ turnovers a game.
- Efficient, competent offense.
