He did not have great support players. They were average. The playbook was set for the BE/MVC. Not the tournament.

It's crazy how much talent they ran up against, especially on the front line to combat Doug. Austin and Jefferson this year, Ryan Kelly and Mason Plumlee last year (both looking like solid NBA players), and Henson, Zeller, and Barnes the year before.

Their role players just weren't that good. They could get away with it in the MVC and a watered-down Big East. But that doesn't fly in the Dance. Creighton is in for a rude awakening this year.
