Anyone know of any low pressure golf courses in central Iowa? Preferably a small town course.

I hope she's okay with driving the cart like crazy, cigars, and beer. That's what my wife would have to put up with if she went with me!

Grandview.

Only two things you don't want to hear while golfing....thunder and the sound of a woman's voice. Try Colfax golf course, it doesn't get much more low key than that.

Shady Oaks in Ackworth.

Only course I know of where you can throw a case of Busch Light in the basket of the cart and take off without anyone caring. Also, a great place to golf if the wearing of a shirt throws off your golf game.

In all seriousness, I love that damn course. It's such a beautiful layout if someone would take care of it.

The par 3 course at jester park is fun. Not tough, easy to walk and cheap. And hopefully very difficult to lose too many balls.

The Hill in Grand Junction, near Jefferson, is $20/person for a cart and all the golf you can play. As long as you don't mind a train running along the course.

Par 3 at Jester is great for beginners.

Grandview is pretty low key and you never quite know what you will see there.

The two executive 9s at Willow Creek, the Blue and the White, would fit the bill as well. Not very long and a variety of talent levels out there.
