Tavern Clones

I was looking through the "What is your major?" and I saw some posters mention that they didn't go to ISU for their education. For me I went to Loras College, and I guess I'm curious to see who else didn't go to Iowa State. So who else is a Tavern Clone? :jimlad:

I want as many good Cyclone fans as we can get, regardless of their educational status. Seems to me many on this site are jealous of the Hawks for this very reason. Bring 'em on...

I did attend ISU, but I didn't gradumacate. However, I do not live in a trailer park or frequent taverns to watch ISU games.
 
Upper Iowa in Fayette for me. But my wife will be getting her doctorate from ISU this winter, which is killing her Hok family.
 
I have no issues with someone that didn't graduate from the school (tavern Hawks, tavern Clones, etc.). In fact, like someone said, I'll take all the non-grads as fans as we can get.
 
I think there is a whole different level of qualifications for being tavern. One statement that must come out of your mouth at least once a season is

1) "Iowa State recruits Iowa kids and Iowa does nothing but recruit thugs from outside the state"

Additionally
2) You need to paint your doublewide Cardinal and Gold and then act offended when someone asks you why you did such a thing.

This all does not seem possible so I am not sure there can be tavern clones.

I'm glad now I can fine all the filthy tavern clone fake fans and summarily dismiss their opinions. :jimlad:
 
University of South Dakota and Western Illinois University for me. I am also very proud to have a son and daughter in law who are ISU graduates!
 
Tavern Hawk started out as a good description of all the Hawk fans we all hated. The drunk losers that love to tell you how bad the CyCLOWNS sucked and how awesome the Hoks where. 99.999% of the time they are townie losers.

Then, somehow people started associating Tavern Hawks to all Iowa fans who didn't attend Iowa, even if they aren't drunk townie trash-balls. This is incorrect.

So, long story short. Just because you didn't attend ISU, it doesn't mean you're a Tavern Clone. If you are a drunk, townie ISU loser who talks about how bad the Squawks suck all day long, then you are a Tavern Clone.

End rant.
