I'm actually rather disappointed by this whole story.
They seemed like a "real" couple--met in high school, married young, did charity work together, knew/loved each other before he hit it big, and Wilson seems rather religious and conservative, so I figured they were in it for the long-haul. Call me a softie, but watching that kind of stuff work for society (compared to how many other young athletes conduct themselves like absolute jackasses with women) was a nice outcome.

I don't get how you can divorce that fast. I guess two years is better than one, but without some sort of crime/addiction/abuse, I don't get how you can give up that quickly.
even the most solid rock can have have temptations when every woman throws herself at you.. you know, young attractive super bowl champ who likes volunteering and long walks on the beach... wonder if he'd pick up my call.. hmmm...
Agreed - I've been married for almost 15 years now and I'm just now starting to think about calling it quits!!!

Maybe there is some sort of crime/addiction/abuse. They have also known each other far longer than two years.
I'm guessing there's quite a bit we don't know about the personal lives of two people we've never met.
You can guess about drugs/abuse/whatver, but a more feasible explanation is Wilson has seen his popularity explode and realizes he could be living that Jeter lifestyle...it'd be hard to pass up.
All kidding aside, Wilson seems like a pretty down to earth guy, not that I've ever met him but just from interviews etc. I can't imagine they are splitting because he wants to become a playboy.
