Drinking Water ruined?

Re: Drinking Water riuned?

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to try that one.

I will say, though, that my son's bath last night had to be at least 5% urine. I did not run him a new bath. :spinny:

Well, yeah...you put a baby boy in a warm bath, and there you have it: the fountain of youth. :)

Re: Drinking Water riuned?

Where does your delivered water come from?

Sparklettes is the company. They tell me it's from underground spring water where it's basically stripped of everything that gives it taste. They then add in a mix of minerals to make it taste like Sparklettes.

Saw a show about their plant. Drinking water doesn't just happen. Seems to be some thought put into it and no poop. I'm pretty sure Sparklettes told me it's 100% human waste free

only thing worse is when they have a floater, because there is no choice but to clean the entire tub and then give them a second bath. :skeptical:

I just got a strange look from hubby because I cracked up at this comment...too funny!

Eyes huge, jaw dropped. Just mind blowing. Even my husband asked me wtf I was thinking.

Word to the wise, since you're apparently having a boy this time...

Never ever have your mouth open when you're changing him. Far too many parents have discovered why... ;)

Someone told me to put a washcloth over his boy bits during changes - good or bad idea?

i did just learn today that I need to watch out, they pee with enough velocity during baths to potentially hit you. How do you even stop that?!

You don't stop nature, just pray to whatever god you choose.

Re: Drinking Water riuned?

You don't. It's reflex...particularly the warm water.

I had a baby sponge (just a big piece of sponge with a baby sized indentation that you put in the bathtub to balance the baby) that I used when bathing them. I'm sure there are much more high tech options now! I would tip the boys slightly toward the wall, aiming away from me. When you change him, hold the diaper over the front while you get the new one ready. It's awkward the first few times (especially with the ones holding more than pee)...but you get pretty good at it, pretty quick...out of necessity!

so there is no Pavlovian conditioning we can do. Dammit.

That changing technique makes sense, I will definitely have to learn quickly. It is the physics of holding over the front while effectively wiping the back that confuses me. And I definitely don't want to YouTube that.

Yet more reasons I'm glad all of my kids are girls.

Re: Drinking Water riuned?

What I'd like to figure out, is how to keep my boy from grabbing his "boy bits" right after his diaper is removed. This is really gross when he has gone #2 and grabs his poop covered "boy bits". Then he proceeds to try and grab everything else, and put his poop covered hands in his mouth.

Kids.....

I don't think I can emotionally handle any part of what you just wrote right now.

Don't worry too much, boys grow out of the whole poop is funny thing by the time they're like 27, or possibly never.

Re: Drinking Water riuned?

They should make him drink all 38 million gallons as punishment.
