Didn't Irving previously get busted for beating up his girlfriend? If holding a stop sign during a riot was Irving's first mishap he probably would've been punished in house and that's it.
Yup. Last season he and his girlfriend beat the **** out of each other. And she's like 5'4".
If he blew somewhere close to .08 then it's not a big deal in my book. If it's much higher than it might be an issue.
Those charges were dropped. However, per public record, he did more here than hold up the stop sign.
Why must everyone worry about something we never had? Every college sports program is dynamic. In the current state of our programs, we have little room for any of these negative impacts. Hell, I am going to cheer next year no matter who plays. Also when almost every player on the bball team has to have an immediate impact when they start playing (in a fans view) these incidents tend to get overblown, no matter what the result.
And now the rest of the story. Ku basketball players had just been in a well publicized fight with the football team the week before, which resulted in Self imposing stricter rules on the basketball team including a curfew.
