North Carolina Central

Their message board isn't SUPER active....we will see if any of them jump over here and introduce themselves.
 
Looks like we drew two teams who had recent 10+ game winning streaks, one of them in the ACC. This is not an easy draw...but outside of the one seeds nobody gets an easy draw really.

Exactly. I'm not saying I'm not nervous because I will be ******* myself the whole game until it is over but NC Central has played no one in the last 20 games. If we play like we did our last 7-8 games we will win by 20. Rebounding is key to this game and especially the UNC game as they rebound fairly well. If we haven't noticed..when we out rebound teams we win.
 
As a cyclone fan I'm always worried and preparing for that nut kick.

In reality, as long as the team is focused and come out of the gate strong, we should win.
 
A win is a win.... but beating this team by less than 10 would be a let down. Should be a fun game but there is no stat that you can pull up that makes me think ISU wont control this game from end to end.
 
Guess who was second in their conference. Ya the team that shall not be named. However this is a repeat of 2000 and not 2001. Us vs Izzo for the final four, hate that guy.

We pretty much do that against most anyone.

So does TCU and Mel had 48 against that zone. Zones with long teams like Syracuse, Baylor, etc are the ones we struggle with. Not zones with guys that are our size. If we control tempo we will win.
 
Matt Thomas gets career high versus NC Central. I hope Ellerman gets a minute or two.
 
This match-up scares the bejeebers out of me! I didn't like the match-up as soon as the bracket was revealed. I think Iowa will have an easier time with Tennessee than we will with NC Central, I really do...

Idk, I just don't think we shoot a lot in this one, unless they end up being way more athletic than I'm giving them credit for. It's not like Baylor where we need Ejim making threes to pull out lengthy defenders.

I predict we go inside early and often.

I'm assuming your basing this on all the NC Central games you've watched and the in-depth scouting report and matchup charts that you have prepared?
