McCaffery to Notre Dame?

Hawk fans are sticking it to Fran after the NW loss.

McCaffery spent 10 years as an ***'t at Notre Dame and his wife went to school there. The Irish are a hot mess right now.

Would Fran jump at the chance to go back to South Bend if ND cans Brey? I don't think it would happen this season but in 2015?
 
I seriously doubt Mike Brey is going anywhere, and Mad Fran sure wouldn't be an improvement. It was tough when they lost Grant to academics, it is a hard place to keep guys eligible.

I don't see him leaving Iowa anytime soon. They meltdown all the time on Ferentz and he is still there. End of the day they were in the NIT last year and tourney (most likely) this year. They'd go back to Lickliter levels if he left, Iowa will want to keep him. I do have no idea what ND's interest level would be in him though.
 
Fran's a total fraud as a coach so he'd fit in about anywhere.
 
If Cal gets what it wants and steals ND's coach, does Fran bolt for dirty South Bend?
 
While his son still has cancer, I doubt it. Iowa City is a great place for them to be in that regard isn't it?

Right but there's a lot of history there with him and his wife. That would probably be a dream job for him.
 
The microscope that is Iowa City will try to run him off. The message boards will try to run him off. The Big 10 officials will try to run him off. With that if his wife says "we're going" then they will go.
 
Not just Notre Dame, if he gets almost any other BCS school wanting him...he gone. Iowa sucks at round ball.
 
Not a chance. Nobody leaves when they are in the middle of building a program. Weather that is what Fran is actually doing there or not is a different question, but to him they probably are rising, so he isn't going.
 
I'm just curious. Why do Iowa MBB threads continually pop up in this forum? Seems to happen at least once every day. Is it really too hard to understand that there is a forum called "In-State Rivals" where these threads belong? This has nothing to do with ISU MBB.
