FYI, don't get too excited about Edwards.
what makes you say that? i have watched him with the team and one thing is obvious, he's a real leader, something this year's team sorely misses on the floor. i've never seen him play myself.

I can. That paycheck is out there as soon as you go to the NBA. Why ruin your last chance to play for fun by following what really amounts to pocket change compared to what you will be making. Have fun in college and play where you want to play rather than following the benjamins. If injury is the concern, you can get an insurance policy for the amount of any under the table payments in college pretty cheaply.
If that is really the best environment for a player - great for them. If a player is making the choice for the wrong reasons it is really stupid.

He visited ISU before KSU last summer and our staff didn't feel he was Big 12 caliber.
i wonder if marcus foster got a visit from your staff?
When you got nothing, 30k or a house in a different neighborhood, or even an apartment paid for your family in a different neighborhood or whatever the going rate is a lot more than pocket change. If he's from Antioch like his Rivals says then getting your family out of that craphole might be the difference between life or death. How much is that worth? Would you want to wait for a couple years until you get to the league to make that happen?
Fair enough. His situation may be an exception rather than the rule. Or it may be nothing like that. I guess I was taking the comment in general rather than his specific situation; my mistake. Cam Newton's family really needed the money.

Relevant?
Why say this? I don't think that's true, but with a year to sit out I'm sure he'll acclimate fine to the Big 12.
just curious if they, like others, didn't believe foster was big12 quality, as you say was the case for edwards. and i truly don't know about edwards, as i've never seen him play a lick. i do like his way around the other guys though.
Its not like Foster was some complete unknown. Rivals had him as #40 PG. OU offered him. ISU happened to have a PG already in Monte Morris who has worked out pretty well for us so far. Kind of stupid to bring Foster up when ISU didn't even recruit him.
Most of these kids aren't from Brooklyn Park
Is Marvin still expected to announce tomorrow?
Also, if I'm understanding correctly, he also now holds an Indiana football offer.
Haha. What? It's not enough Indiana football steals our football recruits, now they're taking our bball recruits.
