I understand students can't make every game, but 2,100 no shows for pretty much every game but 2. For those complaining about the student ticket system..."Why did you buy tickets then?"

Mommy & Daddy did.I understand students can't make every game, but 2,100 no shows for pretty much every game but 2. For those complaining about the student ticket system..."Why did you buy tickets then?"
This is just not true... How bad are you at math? There are 2500 student tickets and at least 2 out of the 3 students sections are full, thats 66% attendance at least. Which means there is only about 850 seats empty...I understand students can't make every game, but 2,100 no shows for pretty much every game but 2. For those complaining about the student ticket system..."Why did you buy tickets then?"
I guess it amazes me that many students seem to waste their money, baffling really. Well I guess like ISUFan22 said, there are those student that have Mommy and Daddy buy their tickets and don't care that they waste their parents money, but they should.I guess I don't understand why people don't get it...a vast majority of students don't care. It's that simple.
For those complaining about the student ticket system..."Why did you buy tickets then?"
We just beat a team that beat KU by 12 and had won 9 of the last 10..and we are complaining about the student section. For the love of god.
I beg to differ
Agreed. Attendance was fine every where else. The empty student section was sad to see. Time to make a change.
Is the fuel running low in the excuse and deflection machine? It also likely needs an oil change.Look, as a die hard fan, of course I'd love to not see an empty seat for every single game. In an ideal world, there's no such thing as a half empty balcony.
But you're barking up the wrong tree. The athletic department sets ticket prices and policies, and you can't blame students for taking advantage of the opportunity.
This shaming stuff doesn't work either. Do you have kids? Have you ever tried getting them to eat their broccoli by telling them how pathetic they are for not wanting to be healthy?
Because we think it's a broken system, but it's the only one we can reasonably use to get into games? It's not just the students that aren't showing up who think it's a broken system.
Since I figured this would come up again, here is a picture taken shortly after tip-off. The attendance was not fine every where else. Specifically the corners (the sections closest to the student section -- the seats with the most similar view) but also plenty of higher level donor seats are empty at the start of the game. And some filled up over time, but there were plenty that did not.

(It was actually two photos automatically stitched together by google... I didn't know it would do that, but it did, with out me even asking.. How cool is that?)
It filled in a lot between then and the media timeout. I really didn't see too many empty seats other than the student section. There were a few, but not that many.Since I figured this would come up again, here is a picture taken shortly after tip-off. The attendance was not fine every where else. This one is so lame it's not even funny. But don't let the man hold you down! Leave those seats empty - that'll show the MBB program!Because we think it's a broken system, but it's the only one we can reasonably use to get into games? It's not just the students that aren't showing up who think it's a broken system.
You just want to play games to avoid the facts. I've tired toying with you and your inability to conduct rational thought.Let's play a little game. Tell me, friend, what kind of car do you drive?
Sure hope they do. Will be some good added revenue for the athletic department as well as a full Hilton. For the last two games, can we do what we did for Baylor a couple years ago and sell GA tickets to public to fill that section?
