Hope Cyclones can end the season on a high note against Minnesota. I am not expecting a win but I would like to see them do well so they have confidence going into Big 12s and NCAAs. Keep your heads up boys.

Big opportunity for Earl to continue what he did this weekend. Also great opportunity for Kyven

So was this the expected barometer of where our team is at this time of year?

I am not a wrestling expert so I am not sure about that question. But for the upcoming dual with the Gophers, the Cyclones should have a good chance at 165 and 197 and maybe some other weights as well. As mentioned above Earl Hall seems to be doing better as of late as well so maybe we can get a win from him also. Let's hope for the best against them, they are an excellent team.

No we should have won all 3 of those duals. Different hiccups in all the duals that cost the team

That pretty much sums it up. Somebody different in each dual let down the team. And our upperclassmen were in position to make up for the freshman getting pinned in each instance. And they didn't.

Schiller goes down to Heflin of Ohio State today. Another 197 pounder to keep an eye on is Tyler Lehman of NDSU.

With a win over Schiller Kyven can wrap up the #1 seed at nationals, if he hasn't already due to Schillers loss earlier today.

I was away for work today and didnt get to watch any of the duals. I expected to lose but am still very disappointed about it. I won't comment on any of the matches since I didnt see them.

I think if Kyven beats Schiller (and wins Big XIIs) he'll be the #1 seed. If he loses to Schiller again I think he'll be the 2 or 3 seed with either Cox or McIntosh #1.

Kyven will get the 1 if he beats Schiller & then Schiller wins the big 10, but if McIntosh wins Big 10, he's got a good shot at the 1.

I think if Kyven beats Schiller and McIntosh wins the Big 10 Kyven will be #1, Cox #2, and McIntosh #3. If McIntosh just tears through the Big 10 tourney then probably swap 2 and 3.

125 Hall dec Brancale 3-0 ISU
133 Thorn fall Terukina 3-6 Min
141 Dardanes fall Moreno 3-12 Min
149 Dardanes maj Goettl 3-16 Min
157 Ness fall Nicholson 3-22 Min
165 Moreno dec Zilverberg 6-22 Min
174 Storley dec Weatherman 6-25 Min
184 Steinhaus dec Beard/Weatherspoon 6-28 Min
197 Schiller dec Gadson 6-31 Min
285 Kroells dec Smith 6-34 Min

33, 41 and 57 may not all be falls, but the way those Minnesota boys and Moreno have been wrestling lately it's hard not to call a fall at those weights. I think Kyven can win but until he does I have to go with Schiller. This one could get ugly fellas.
