I wanted to take a moment and express my appreciation for Georges as a model representative of the Cyclone basketball team, both on and off the court.
This man shows no fear.
I am proud to say he is a Cyclone, and wish the best for him and the rest of the team for the remainder of the season.
Go Georges!
and as always...........
GO CYCLONES

I still don't understand how he routinely does that drive-spin-layup maneuver in the post. It has the appearance of fall-on-your-face fail everything yet almost every time, it works.

I'm not thinking about the next two years. Georges is capable of taking over this team this year and taking us a long way.
Keep shooting Georges. 30 point games are not out the question.

How about that 3 with ~1:30 left! Ice in the veins son!

I suspect that Georges has been driven to succeed as a result of the undue criticism he received from going 0-9 against Kansas.
My guess is he was trying to establish the game plan of drawing Embiid from the basket.
He took a lot of heat for that.
(The manner in which some people complained you'd have thought Georges was out there just to hoist 'em up.)
Georges loves Iowa State and his fellow players.
He is here to win and get a degree, and not necessarily in that order.

Love that guy............

GO CYCLONES

The conference is going to hate him so much by the end of his senior year. (good thing).

I almost started a thread like this yesterday. It seems like there hasn't been many better unsung heroes in Iowa State history (in my recent memory at least). It feels like every year, other players will get more love from this fan base. Last year you could have said Babb, McGee or Clyburn. This year it's Kane and Ejim. I bet if we land Vaughn, he'll get the love over Niang. But the guy just goes out and gets the job done.

Very well said Cyrocks.
I hope that as a fan base, we never take ANY of our players for granted.
All of them are out there bustin' their butts for Iowa State.

I have stated this before. Georges Niang will set career ISU marks much like Melvin is. I predict he will even break some of Melvin's marks as well.

We are not intentionally dissing Georges, or ignoring his accomplishments this season.
He is having a damn fine Sophomore Campaign, it is just we are focused with Melvin since it is his last year..
