Please explain to me how RB Eddie Lacy is the NFL Rookie of the Year, but WR Keenen Allen was voted NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year?

Well obviously Eddie Lacy played both sides of the ball.

The same way that Russell Wilson was named ROTY last year, and RGIII was named
offensive ROTY.

To me, it seems redundant to list Lacy as both the ROTY and offensive ROTY. This basically says that Lacy was the best of all rookies, and Allen was the best of all offensive rookies not named Eddie Lacy.

ok, so that's the Pro Football Writers of America award. They select an offensive guy, a defensive guy, and an overall.

The AP hasn't announce their award yet, have they?

Nope. Pretty sure I saw somewhere that it's the night before the Super Bowl. Could be wrong but I know it's not announced yet.
