To those that want to give up on this team

I don't think it's giving up on the team, to realize that we're a 7-11 seed, rather than a 2-3 seed that we were starting to fantasize about a couple of weeks ago.

I'm giving up on the Big 12. Refs call according to who you are and it is so ******* annoying!

Just ignoring the fact that we played terribly for the entire second half and the last 5 minutes of the first half?

All 3 losses are to good teams. Kansas is Kansas, and the OU and Texas losses were on the road. Both of those teams are likely NCAA tourney teams. The losing streak blows, but we're still a good team. Plenty of time to turn it around. For the love of God though can we stop complaining about the officiating???

We need to make shots, grab loose balls, and get rid of the butterfingers.

Also, take a step back. Anyone who has watched this team realized that even when we were undefeated we had alot of flaws. We were able to dodge bullets against BYU, Iowa and UNI, and won a number of other close games. I think we all knew this couldn't keep up forever.

14-3 is right where I thought we would be going into the year, if not better. We will be fine.

Momentum was made by the refs, not Texa$$
This. They killed every ounce of momentum. I'm not trying to be reactionary but it gets to the point where I wonder if we can't do better in some crappy conference because we don't have to deal with the Big 12. We could have played a little better but we played pretty well. I don't really want to but I find myself wondering these days.

I don't think the MAJORITY of people are giving up on the team. I think a lot of people are upset with HOW we are losing some of these games, and understandably so. We got a talented ballclub. There is a lot of season left, and this squad is still capable of some great things.

But we have not figured out how to play 40 minutes for some reason...and our defense and rebounding HAVE to improve. Some of the reason we struggle is because of size, some is focus.

There is no shame in losing at Texas, at Oklahoma, and to Kansas. But it sure as heck doesn't make people bad fans, cliff jumpers, bandwagon fans, etc.. for being upset about the way we played today, or how we have rebounded and defended in the past couple games.

SOME fans are over the top and that gets old. But it also gets old seeing people accusing others of being bandwagon jumpers just because they question effort, defense, rebounding, etc...you'd have to be pretty naive to think we played well, and our focus was there for 40 minutes today.
