It doesn't make sense for him to go to the Cards... The only thing Barry will do this year is put butts in the seats... The Cards don't need that.
He should go to the Marlins, or Rays, or Rangers... someone like that. A move for them would boost attendance.

Great point considering Tony's teams share this characteristic with every other team in major league baseball!
As bad as the Cards will be this season having a 1-2 punch of Pujols and Bonds is not that bad of an idea actually. I see Bonds catching on with an AL team as a DH though
Look at the evidence. Conseco, McGuire, Mcguire again, Ankiel, Glauss. Tony also brought his trainer over from the A's as soon as he took the Cardinals job.
He's being hammered on St Louis radio for this.
ALL I can say as a Cards fan and Bond's hater: Stay away from St. Louis.

Wow - excellent point InCy; it makes me think about Tony's personality and intentions in a totally different perspective.
And for some reason, distantly related, I'm thinking back to Eustachy's penchant for relating to and awarding schollies to academically and behaviorally dysfunctional JUCOs.....(sorry, I'm sure that might hit someone's sore spot)
