AKA, are any ISU fans out there cheering for Iowa to beat Wisc. tomorrow to try and get ISU in the top 10 on Monday?

I know I am not one. I want Wisc. to kill Iowa tomorrow.

I hear many people say, 'I cheer for both schools.' I do not see it that way. My favorite teams are ISU, and any team playing against Iowa.

In fact, when I tell my DVR to record the show 'The Biggest Loser' it records Univ. of Iowa sports!

Wisconsin losing to Iowa wouldn't get us in the top 10. They wouldn't drop that far. Our hope is Duke, Oklahoma State, and WSU (possible tomorrow).

Go Badgers.

When your a cyclone fan you should automatically become a fan of every team that plays against the qwaks. All those fans who support both teams, pick a team. Most of them are really hawks fans and just like ISU when we are winning.
I think the badgers haven't played a team like the qwaks and are going to get manhandled. I will be rooting for the badgers.

Exactly it is the concept of rivalries - Bama/Auburn, FSU/Florida, UGA/GT, Michigan/OSU, UCLA/USC, Arizona/ASU,don't cheer for the other, why should we.

It's an Iowa thing. We are a smaller state and don't get a lot of respect. I'd rather see the state get respect from Iowa winning. I mean as long as we beat them we are still better so I don't get why you wouldn't cheer for them. It can only make us look better.

I don't care about RPI, BPI, or whatever PI, as long as we take care of business none of that will matter. With that being said F Iowa.

Since I can't have an impact on the game from my couch, I'm mostly ambivalent.

Iowa winning helps our RPI. Honestly any team we play really, we should be rooting for when we don't play them... it behooves us come tournament time to be better. In big12 play it matters a little less and is more complicated, because everyone plays each other, but with non-con... it's mostly straight forward, we played them, we want them to look better on paper. So long as we aren't competing with them for a final spot in the tournament.

C. ISU beating Baylor.

At this time, that's MUCH, MUCH more important than a number or a matchup between two teams outside the Big 12. That's not even up for discussion.

If Iowa wins, I want it to be due to an inordinate amount of free throws.

haha...good one! Didn't Iowa sweep Wisc last year? Seems to me they have their number. And went like 2-25 from 3-pt. land one game. Think Iowa will actually accomplish "speeding up" Wisc. and will win. Will be intersting if Uthoff goes off or has a quiet game. As far as wanting to be ranked in the top 10, does it really matter? Think we're rated about where we should be. And I say that because it's unbelievable as to how we can keep this up with playing only 7 players. As much as we all have confidence in our team and would like to see the rankings rise because that means we are winning, it doesn't help us beat Baylor, or at OU, and KU. What a tough 3-game stretch.

Who gives a **** about either one? The team that wins the final game of the NCAA tournament is the one "voted" the #1 team, so winning takes care of rankings. And Iowa? Really, little brother? Why do you even care what they do?

I hate these threads, nothing says "little brother" more than "I didn't get what I want? Oh well, at least Iowa lost!" Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I can't fathom rooting for Iowa in any situation. Even when I bet on Iowa I root against them.

Want ISU to beat Baylor. Keep winning and everything will take care of itself. I'm betting the teams above us will lose a few along the way.

It's only little brother because tavernhok doosh hok fan started the "little brother" thing to make themselves feel better but your validation of "little brother" actually meaning anything, i.e. your post above is the problem. It's a heated rivalry, that's it. I'm not going to try and impress hok fan by having a big think on if I'm being "little brotherish" when I make a post or have a conversation I'm just going to do what I want and what feels good, if my actions are construed as being "little brother" I don't give a **** labelers can **** right off.
