If someone has already posted this -- please merge or delete. I just heard the commercial for it last night. . .

Miller and Brison did a Monday Quarterback segament throughout the college football season with Austin Arnaud and Chuck Long.

The are teeing one up I think to start next week for Basketball - Monday Evening Rebound Show. Jess Settles is representing EIU.

Guess the Cyclone.

Wait for it, Wait for it . . . Jake Sullivan.

What do you all think!?!?!

Jake as far as I have observed he's been real quiet since Coach Hoiberg took the reins. This could be real interesting.

They already did a kind of pre-show a few weeks back. Settles and Jake both nailed it I thought. They keep that segment really focused on the games and tactics, there isn't much opinion generated controversy going on.

They did a segment last week. Pretty good. I don't see much controversy here.

I heard the first one they did as a promotion of the show. I thought both of them were great. They both express themselves well and have some informative insight on basketball. I loved it and will listen as often as I can.

Agree with the the other posters here. They were both fantastic in the "pre-show" they did a few weeks ago. Neither were taking shots at the other team and both provided a lot of good information. I thought Settles was phenomenal actually.

Settles did a game or two for TV when Fizer was here. He was very good and very complimentary. You would never know he was a former Hawk. I couldn't do that, literally.

The pre-show a few weeks back whet my appetite for more. Good show and gives me an excuse to make sure I am on the road home from work on time (so I can listen).

(waiting for the haters of all things local sports talk radio to chime in and tell us why the show can't possibly be any good. )

Yeah, I caught one of the shows. I enjoyed it and was really impressed with how indepth the guys went.

No offense to Austen, but I thought Jake and Jess blew their football counterparts out of the water. Even factoring in the dumb questions Brinson comes up with, I thought they were pretty informative and well-spoken.

Why do some people not like Jake Sullivan? I take it is from something he did after he left Iowa State? He was always my favorite player when he was here when I was a kid. What did he do to upset some people so much? ...it seems like I have seen it come up here before.

I listened a little bit the last time they were on. Jake and Jess are worth hearing. Miller and Brinson are worthless.

I think there was some minor controversy over him allegedly steering one of his AAU kids away from ISU during the McD days. Pretty overblown, imo. He had nothing but good things to say about the program on the 1st episode, and I doubt he'd agree to do the show if he really had some axe to grind with Iowa State.

Agreed ... as a player, Jess Settles was not one of my favorites. Ok, I have no favorite hawkeye BB players. Regardless, he seemed really knowledgeable, well-spoken, complimentary of Cyclone Basketball, etc. I can listen to him.

Jake did really well too. He discussed some shooting footwork fundamentals that I had not heard before (re Naz Long and Matt Thomas).

I'm not in this group, but some fans turned on Jake when he was not trying to convince Harrison Barnes to come to Iowa State.

Ah, ok. Yeah, if I was an AAU coach and cared about the future of my player, I would've steered them away from McD too.

I like listening to AA on Tuesday morning after I downloaded the podcast. I would skip past Douch... I mean Chuck Long.

I'll download this one but will probably listen to the entire segment.
