So I just upgraded yesterday to a Galaxy S3. Today my wife asks for my phone and somehow (another story) it ends up landing face down on the floor. My question is, I have seen many phones with the glass broken but the screen is still working. My screen is completely black. Is there anyway to repair it or am I just screwed.

Any ideas?

There are kits on Amazon you can buy to fix this. Guessing you need a new digitizer and screen. Did you get insurance on your phone when you got it?

Yeah I have insurance, but I believe there is a deductible. Wondering if it will be cheeper to fix...you know just before Christmas. I will have to check Amazon. Thanks

Spend the $99 on the deductible. However, I don't know if I would have got the GS3.

Is the glass broken? If the screen is dark but the glass isn't broken and you just bought it, I would take it back to the store. See if they'll replace it as a lemon.

Deductible it is. Had to do this with the wife's ultra, fell out of her coat pocket while bending over to pick something up, fell from about 3 feet and shattered the screen. Had it for 2 weeks. While it sucks spending the money, it was so quick and painless. They send a new phone, swap sim cards, send old phone back in prepaid envelope.

My droid razr? Had it for 2 years and it looks like it fell out of a car running a hundred down the interstate, but the screen is still perfect. Go figure.

How much life insurance do you currently hold on your wife?

So does anyone know if the deductible is added to your Verizon bill or if you have to pay up front. If it is added to the bill, I won't have to pay that bill until after Christmas and I can go ahead and replace it now; otherwise I have to wait till January.
