Player of the Week for someone who gets ejected?

I'm just curious what people's thoughts are regarding Big 12 player of the week. On stats alone, I'd think Kane or Ejim might be good candidates this week. But, I wonder if the Big 12 takes into consideration the other things in the game. Mainly, I'm wondering if the ejection (Kane) and bird to the crowd (Ejim) would keep them from getting player of the week.

My guess is Marcus Smart will get it this week. He was unreal against Memphis. But Kane and Ejim did play great last night.

This. Ejim and Kane did enough to get it normally, but Smart was scary good Tuesday night. Unless one of them goes off against UMKC, it's all Smarts.

Holy moly is Kane a good player.

Stay away from that other crap (not judging intent at all) and focus ahead.

Awards are nice but in the long run who cares?

UMKC is next week. We are done for this week of awards and stuff so unless someone else totally bombs or goes off we pretty much know where we're going to be.

There's a chance Kane could get Newcomer of the Week, if no other transfers have a good game.

But, yeah, POW is all Marcus Smart.

Yeah, Smart is winning it. Dude was unconscious in the first half against Memphis and played a great overall game, so this will be a moot point.

But to answer the question, I think a flagrant foul ejection will make sure someone doesn't win. I don't think Ejim's actions would prevent him though. If acting like a **** prevented you from winning awards, no Kansas player or coach would ever win one.
