Blu-ray Players - Suggestions?

Did any of you fellow PS3 owners buy the Bluetooth remote for it? Just wondering since a lot of you guys use yours for playing movies. I do too, but just use the controller

My remote came free with my PS3 - and I LOVE IT. Yeah, it's probably not that much different than using the controller, but for some reason I just like it. It's a great remote with the buttons in the right places and it's great too because I have about 10GB of music on my PS3 and using the remote saves the battery life on my controller.

PS3 4tw!

I have a 80 gig PS3 and love it. I can play games, I can watch regular and BlueRay DVDs too.

The PS3 also was designed with a beautiful on-screen interface that can connect to your bluetooth keyboard and mouse so you can surf the web on your TV, create a photo presentation that will rotate your photos on screen and play your mp3 music files, the list goes on...

I bought the remote too and am cool with it but you could easily get by using the wireless game controller. I think it cost $25.00.

I have a 56" 1080p TV. I am currently using a Denon DVD player with a Farouja Video Processing chip, so my DVD's don't look bad, I am just anxious to use my tv's capabilities.

That is the problem, upscaled DVD's look almost as good as blu-ray. I am usually an early early adopter of new technology. Heck I have 4 HD tv's, and 0 blu-ray players, and have no plans to get one for a while.

Some rumors going around the nerds that MS will soon put out a Blu-Ray player much like their HD-DVD add on.
But for those that are still looking for just a Blu-Ray player I'd have to say go with the PS3 too. I'm not the biggest Playstation fan, but even I'm considering getting one, just to have the player.

Dumb question and I'm sure it has been answered but does the ps 3 play ps one and ps 2 games as well?

No easy answer. My PS3 (60gb) plays them all but some models don't. I'd wait for the new PS3 to come out before buying anything. It sounds like Sony is going to replace the 80gb unit.
