This is sad. I lived in El Paso for a year, which was while Thomas Howard was playing for UTEP. They had a really good team that year, so I went to one of their games and got to talk to Thomas for about 3 minutes. Seemed like a great guy. He was a beast for the Raiders for a few years and I think had some injury issues.

Former UTEP football player Thomas Howard dies in car accident - El Paso Times

According to officials, Howard, 30, was driving a BMW that according to the California Highway Patrol was traveling at 100 miles per hour when it ran into the back of a semi truck. The force of the impact caused the BMW to catapult into the opposing lanes, where it struck a Chevrolet Monte Carlo and then crashed onto a Honda CRV, CHP officials said.

Both Howard and the driver of the Honda, Zeng Long Liu, 64, of Hayward, Calif., were killed at the scene, officials said.
He got cut from the Falcons last Tuesday then the accident Monday morning.
Will be interesting to hear the cause of the accident(drugs, alcohol, suicide, etc.). His reckless actions resulted in the death of himself and another innocent person.

I don't feel sad for that moron at all. Why was he driving 100MPH? I feel bad for the other person he killed. He should not be treated as some sort of hero, he killed an innocent man because of his stupidity.
