State Tourny Results

Nathan McRoberts, from Rockford (where I attend HS), is in the semis at 135 in 2A. He beat the #1 wrestler from I-35 earlier today in a thriller (8-6 in OT). He's a senior: 4 Conference Championships, 4 trips to state (two fifths and one seventh place finishes). Hopefully he can get us a state championship this year! Go Nathan!!!

john nicholson of the 'velt won it'll be him and moreno in the championship hes 3-1 vs. moreno this year its his only loss of the season

The #1 135 in 2a is Seth Noble from Columbus, who has beat Missouri and illinois #1's.

My high school, North-Linn put 5 in the state tournament, that is becoming pretty common for us.

And hey, we are only 81 points behind Don Bosco! (which is ridiculous by the way)

Anybody notice that no-talent Ferentz kid, the one who's father gave him an undeserved football scholarship (long thread from last week), is in the 3A Heavyweight finals? <sarcasm>

James is a great kid, and here's hoping he pulls an upset to salvage something for the once-proud City High wrestling program!

Lastly, for all the discussion in this thread about Don Bosco, Waverly-Shell Rock had set a state wrestling meet scoring record after the semi-final round! I don't know a soul from W-SR, but I love them for having denied IC West another crown! Go Go-Hawks! Boo Trojans! Here's hoping all four of your returning champions go down tonight, especially that program jumping Gambrall...

Don Bosco should get moved up to 2A just because, make it a little more fair for everybody else in 1A.

Some states actually make the parochial schools play in their own class. Too me that seems like a reasonable thought.:wideeyed::wideeyed::wideeyed::wideeyed:

I'm hoping that the Thompson kid (ISU recruit) can disappoint you. Great tradition of wrastling in that family.
Thompson family tradition.

6:00 is when it starts. Ferentz vs. Thompson or Noble vs. Kautz will be the matches of the night.
