As a member of the cyclone family I will be going to the Celtics preseason game tonight to hopefully have the opportunity to see Chris Babb play and maybe even say hello. I will be wearing my cyclone gear too!

Holy cow, NBA preseason already!!! That season always seems to sneak up on me and surprise me. Then again, I'm just a casual at best NBA watcher.
The Celtics roster shows 18 guys listed so there are still three more cuts to go.

It's surely a non-guaranteed rookie contract, at the rookie minimum of $490,000, to become fully guaranteed if he's still on the roster on January 7, 2014.

Thats what I figured I just didn't know if cuts had been made, I usually don't keep up on how or when final cuts are made with NBA teams. Hope you have a good time at the game though!
I don't think he has that yet. I can't find anything about pay for non-roster NBA training camp invitees but I know NFL non-roster training camp invitees get like $800-$1000 a week, while they are there. I would imagine it is about the same for the NBA.

Oh man...this just reminds me that I am going to miss Chris Babb A LOT this year. But it also reminds me that I am getting really, really excited to see the team on the court in 4 weeks! And I am unnaturally excited about media day this week.
So looks like he's got a 1/4 shot of making with the Celtics, those are pretty good odds considering how many new players are trying to break into the league each year.
The game is going to be broadcast (at 6:00 I think) on CSN New England. I'm not sure who would have that channel and where, but a broadcast will exist. I have no idea if any of the "wink wink, nudge nudge" sites will have it.
