Josh Freeman Released

He's still young and obviously has talent. If he could get his head straight, I'd definitely like the Vikings to take a look.

I wonder how much longer until Revis requests a trade. The Bucs are idiots and not handling things well this season with the Lawrence Tynes MRSA issue and now Freeman.

He won't get starter money, at least not this year. I think he'd be hard pressed to make an impact anywhere this year. It'd be awfully tough to walk into an offense and learn the terminology, develop decent timing with the receivers, and all the other stuff that should happen in the offseason and training camps. He should be thinking about next year. Sign as a backup, show a team he's worth the investment, and compete for a starting job next season.

Fact. This Sunday I watched an interview with Manning during the Broncos game and he said he after week 4 of this season he still doesn't hasn't "learned" all of his recievers. He claimed the offense will be even better in November than is now, which is scary.

There are teams that could use Freeman at QB, but those teams are not going to make the playoffs this year -- with or without Freeman -- so there is no point in spending money on him to make your draft pick worse, for a QB nobody believes will be their future franchise QB.

I would very much like the Steelers to pick him up. Much better option than Gradkowski and would be some insurance in the future if/when Big Ben takes that final death blow due to his OL.

Of course the Steelers never pay for decent free agents, so it wont happen.
