The Ali-Frazier trilogy is legendary but the Ali-Norton trilogy was just as hard fought and even. Kenny Norton's awkward style was not a good matchup for Ali.

Larry Holmes is easily one of the most underrated heavyweight champions ever. The guy was unreal, and had probably the most lethal jab of anyone ever.
I hope I'm not taking this thread too far off track, but is that Sylvester Stallone in the audience behind the fighters, standing up at the 2:08 mark? Larry's jab was definitely one of the best ever, especially for a big guy. Unfortunately for Larry he rose to power at the worst time as the Ali-Frazier-Foreman era was winding down and it was pre Tyson-Holyfield era. He didn't have a lot of big names to fight outside of the white hope Gerry Cooney. Larry in his prime with that jab and power and his underrated chin, he could have went with anyone from heavyweight history
Larry took a lot of head shots, as you could tell in his interviews, but he and Foreman packed big KO punches.
Also, a lot of folks don't realize Ali lost his crown three times.

Won title beating Sonny Liston...got stripped of the title when banned from boxing.
Regained title beating Foreman...lost to Leon Spinks
Regained title beating Spinks...retired for a short time and vacated title. He came back and fought Holmes and lost but Larry was considered the champ
