I'm in the market for an I-State Tailgating Tent and am curious to everyone's opinion of a high quality tent that is sturdy and can withstand extremely windy tailgate conditions.

We went through two (2) cheap I-State tailgate tents that we got free from a distributor last year and it was poor construction/lightweight framing.

If anyone can point me to a store around Central Iowa or a website that you have ordered from and have had good experience with.

Thanks in advance.

went through a few Logo brand tents, broke first time each one. our friend just got one st Sams in Ames for less than $150, yesterday was first use. seemed ok.

would recommend you spend the good money and get a red colored ez up tent they are much better quality.
the logo brand tents are pretty junky specially newer ones.

Don't go for the cheap ones, they bend and break like our defense.
Did anyone get a video of the tent/canopy by the bus in B6 take off in that freak gust of wind that acted like a "dirt-devil" around 2 pm? It must have risen 75 feet in the air and looked like a sky diver coming down! Everyone around there was really amazed at what they had just witnessed! I can see some bright Aerospace Engineers trying to duplicate this at the Iowa game tailgater!

I'd wait a few more games and get a deal on a used one when people give up.

I really wanted to get an ISU tent before the season started, but then remembered how cheaply they are made for how much they cost. Ended up borrowing one from the inlaws for the season. Very solid construction and a foot longer each way than the logo tents.

We ended up getting a Coleman from our wedding registry. It's like half the price of the ISU branded ones & probably twice the quality. Yea, it's not cardinal & gold, but I don't really care.

did anyone see the pizza hut people trying to take down their tent in the SEZ? took them 20 minutes still couldnt figure it out. One kid had a leg almost completely torn off. some random people walked up to it and explained how to do it.

We had a couple cheaper ones in the past and two years ago we went this way and bought a high quality EZ-UP. Some are cheaper than others in their line so do your research. I think we paid around $600 for a package with a 10x10 EZ-UP Eclipse model tent with 4 walls, roller bag, 2 chairs, and stakes. Not cheap by anyone's measure, but it is build like a brick-****-house and is super easy to set up and tear down. The canopy stays on even when folded. This thing will last me a lifetime of tailgating.

I got one off Ebay. Cardinal and Gold with 4 sides for $200. I spent another $20 and made my one weights for each leg. Had a lot of people look at the weights I made. I think the brand of the tent is Delta. We saw the dust devil also and all the garbage in the air, really weird to see how long things stayed in the air.

We have 4 of the logo brand tents. They set up and tear down very easy and have lasted very well for us, much better than a couple of the ez-ups we've had.

I have to second the ez-up brand tent. Had ours for about 6 years now, seen just about every home game since then and have never had a problem.
