It's not illegal, they serve a purpose, and just be glad that ISU football is popular enough that apparently, there is a market for what they do. Now, take a deep breath, ignore the scalpers, and enjoy the game!

Not quite. I just always have a dozen or so folks at my tailgate who don't plan ahead for the game (a major disfunction in my book), but who would attend and cheer like crazy for the Cyclones if they got a ticket on gameday.
One more question, do the guys that post tickets on this forum **** you off for selling their 2 hillsides for $200? Same concept, just because they are this site and not on the street doesn't mean it isn't the same thing.
Haha. So now your real point comes out. You're just mad that the scalpers make it tougher for you and your buddies to get free tickets.
then tell them to a) buy tickets ahead of time, or b) pay the at-the-gate prices from the scalpers. It isn't that hard of a concept to grasp, and college football tickets aren't decided on a try-out basis for who would be the best fan.
This attitude is a lot like that jerkbag on the highway that sees the exact same signs as everyone else, announcing that the right lane is going to be closed in 2 miles. In 1.5 miles. In 1 mile. And keeps right on speeding along in the quickly emptying right lane, just to act all put out by the fact that he has to slow down and wait for someone to let him into the left lane when the signs force him over.

I get two season tickets every year, and always take a friend with me. I don't make them compensate me for the tickets at all, in any way. As a result, my friends have a line already formed for my tickets. I have someone having already claimed the 2017 Iowa ticket. I turn in my time-off requests to work for away games the day after the schedule comes out for every year.
Why am I supposed to have sympathy for people who want to decide if they want to go to a football game "on game day."

I had a younger kid come up to me asking if I had any tickets left. I had 2 that I planned on standing outside and selling. I figured he was little so I sold them to him for $5 a piece. He ended put pulling out a big stack of cash and paying me. I was so frustrated, cause I knew some scalper was using their kid to do that.
I have sold numerous tickets to scalpers. Normally I will hold my tickets up and give it about 10 minutes or so and if I can't get anything and want to get back in the tailgate or want to go in the stadium, I will approach them and take what I can get. My kids also go and stand there and wait for a while and if they can't sell them they will sell to a scalper. I don't want to waste my whole day trying to sell tickets.
Scalpers just fill a void in the market. Not a big deal to me. Whenever we have an extra ticket or two, we find some friends to sit with us, and if not, we like to find a fellow cyclone fan to give them to. We never ask for any money. We just hope they can stand sitting with me for four quarters.
