Finch to Grandview

interesting that he's going to Grandview. Following him on twitter, didn't seem like he was living the lifestyle and putting in the time/effort this summer

My guess would be Larson or Bauer, if they can make 125. Both are 125 on the roster, but I'm not sure if that is updated or not.

They have added a couple new freshmen in, but other than that I don't think any weights have been updated.

This is a blow to our likely placing at nationals next season. Finch wasn't likely to AA or anything but I expected him to qualify and win a few matches.

Edit: Not a huge blow, but a handful of points.

Could Earl Hall make 125? I'd feel better with Hall at 125 and Terikuna at 133 than Larson at 125 and Hall at 133.

I also follow him, and I agree. Kid seems like he constantly needed attention.

While I agree this is a blow, I am kind of glad it happened now. It gives those who actually put in the work, and the new comers a chance. I want a room full of kids striving to improve each day. To me, it did not quite seem like he was one of them.

Also, I've heard that earl can make 25. I didn't get any other details, just that he can make 25 fairly easily.

He has competed at 55kg (121lbs) in the recent past, but making weight a few times a year for international competition is a different story than making it once or twice a week for folkstyle.

I heard it will start with Larson and maybe Hall will make the cut. I would guess 125/133 would be a combination of Larson, Hall, and Bauer. Shayden will be at 141, not sure if the one that doesn't get 125/133 would challenge 141 or if Moreno would go down to 141 if Goettl gets 149.

Maybe we can put more money towards a top recruit. I don't know what Ryak was getting for scholarship money lately, but he came in on a big scholarship, I heard. Millhof comes to mind!

Disappointing, but also glad it happened now versus later having issues.

Disappointing news for sure..It seemed like the kid was starting to gain some momentum. Looking back at last year he went 15-10..Best of Luck Ryak....Next!

Sources say girls and booze replaced dedication and not getting a 2.0 grades are reasons for transfer
