I see we only signed 2 guys that weren't High School Seniors:
Jason Carlson
Bo Williams

I was curious about how many years these 2 will have left? I am correct in thinking that Jason has 3 years at ISU left and Bo will have 4 after he sits out next year? Little help guys (and/or girls  )

Bo will have four, since he is using last year's redshirt as a medical since he was injured. I am not sure how many Carlson will have left.

From what I hear, Bo will be able to play four starting in the 2009-10 campaign, because of his medical redshirt at Florida, and the actual redshirt during his year that he has to sit out here at Iowa State. Carlson will be able to play immediately, and I believe has three years of eligibility...

Thanks for the info!

I think the NCAA rule that only gives a 5 year window from the time an athlete originally enters school will restrict Williams to 3 years of playing time here.

The 5-year window is for athletes who don't have reason for a medical redshirt. When a Medical Redshirt is granted, the athlete has 6 years to play 4. 1 Redshirt, 1 Medical redshirt, 4 Regular.
