Walk-on QB Starcevich

Does anyone know anything about Kyle Starcevich? I thought he was coming in as a walk-on but don't see him on the roster.

I'm not expert, but maybe 2013 walk ons don't practice or would be on the roster until school starts. They don't have a letter of intent and aren't officially Iowa State students until then.

I'm not sure but its a guess.

so preferred technically means they don't have to try out right? My guess is they are not classifying him this way as a true freshman to make him try out as a regular student to protect his other aid because "recruited" walkons are not eligible for certain financial aid. If that is correct funny they list Burnham as his recruiter on rivals. Either that or he preffered and just was not medically cleared yet.

Starcevich is the next Brett Bueker!! I'm not intending that as a joke. Bueker was a great Cyclone, despite only being on the field as a holder. He was a guy who pumped up his teammates and did a lot of great things off the field.
