Vikings Stadium in trouble?

it's political blustering. There will be numerous assurances from all parties and it will blow over. This case is over 20 years old. It's not like it's something that the involved parties weren't aware of. And if they claim they weren't, they should have been.

I read something yesterday (I believe on CBS Sports) that the new stadium is not in jeopardy. All this does is put Gooddell and the NFL in the unenviable position of modifying and enforcing the code of conduct standards among NFL owners and front office personnel.

That was part of the reason I posted it. Not living in Minnesota, I was not too sure about the politics of the Twin Cities or the state. I just thought it seemed serious when the Governor comes out and questions whether the owners can really be trusted in their statements. It seems to be kind of late in the game to be bringing something like that to everyone's attention.

It's a way for the governor to cover his butt in case there is more legal trouble for Wilf down the line. He can tell everyone, "I raised concerns, but was assured..."

That said, the NFL, the Wilf's, everyone involved knew about this suit, and knew that the Wilf's had a chance to lose it.

Much like everything else the vikings do. They can get close, but never can seal the deal. Go Pack

Much like every other Vikings thread on CF. Someone posts a story about the Vikings, and a packer fan always has to say something. :twitcy:
