A teammate of his last year at IWCC is at Illinois this year. Top 2 WRs IWCC had went to Illinois & Maryland & both were very good. Stinks to lose out on Allison, but good luck to him. Here's to getting Kenric Young & others instead. Plenty out there to nab.
Agreed. Bummer on Geronimo, but I wont be too crushed if we miss on any more WRs this class since we have some good ones locked down.
Sure, the dude is 6'6", but only 195lbs. That's toothpick thin for someone who is that tall. My guess is the guy would have trouble getting off the line if a CB decides to jam him. Also, he may not be the quickest guy getting out of routes and making cuts, and you can't just run a fade to the corner of the end zone on every play.
I've never seen the kid, nor know how he plays...just thinking out loud.

Not sure about "the big 3", but I would assume that one of them is his teammate Deionte Gaines, who also has an offer from the Cyclones.
In a class that might number no more than 18 (yeah, things can change, but this number was thrown out by CPR late last fall), got to wonder how many WRs the staff will take. We've got three now - Lazard, Salters, Wesley.

Davin Pierce and Deionte Gaines. All three wide recievers... if big 3 are a package they are going to south florida. With Kenrick Young still out on the radar as a big target no way they take 2 of those 3 muck less all 3 even though all 3*. I think they have 1 WR spot left and that's Kendrick.

Davin Pierce plays DB. He usually plays corner - he's a really long corner and is a really good covererage. I didn't even know he had an ISU offer and he recently flipped from WVU to Cincinnati, but I think he would be a huge get for the clones.
I agree that WR is getting pretty crowded in this class, and it might be tough to accept commitments from both Proctor and Gaines. I've seen Young, Proctor, and Gaines all play at least twice over the last year. Young is a bigger body, but those other 2 guys are pretty special and I think they are both better HS players than Young.
And before we fill up the class with WRs, we are in the final 3 (with WVU and Georgia Tech) for FL DE Tyree Owens who plans to announce his commitment next week.
