Recruit Lists v2.0

We went 5'11", 6'5", 6'6", 6'7", 6'7" this year with our 6th man at 6'2" and that seemed to work out pretty well. Don't get why people are always so worried about height when we spread the floor so much.

It's a concern on defense. That wasn't our only problem on defense this past year, but it's a factor.

Who can replace Melvin as a 6-6 rebounder on our future players?

It's not like many big men destroyed us this last year. KU did well against us in the paint but pretty much every other team that I can remember we held our own. Obviously height/length would be great but it's not something I am going to worry about if it means we can spread the floor on offense and keep the opposing teams big man on the bench

KSU pushed us around down in Manhattan

I just remember Angel Rodriguez/McGruder going off against us that game and Henriquez on the bench but I'm sure you're right. Didn't a big man come off the bench and do some work against us or something?

Great another Big 12 contender for Vaughn and Travis...
:nah:
@collegebbnews: Texas Tech is hoping to get visits from 2014 Minnesotans Rashad Vaughn and Reid Travis.

For defense and rebounding, there is big difference between Clyburn/Babb last season on the wings versus Thomas/SDW/Morris on the wings in future seasons. Especially if we are looking at Niang/Nader in the 4/5 spots beyond next season. The future roster needs more length which guys like Jaylen Johnson, Justin Tillman or Josh Cunningham can provide.

Hogue? Hard to say what players that haven't played yet will do. Naz is going to be a great defender and I bet Kane can be as well. I know what you're saying but I would rather start Niang/Nader than someone like Gibson just because they have more length.

This. People calling for a tiny lineup are nuts IMO. Where Custer fits at this point is up in the air. To me, it goes like this for 2015. Not sure about the rolls of Naz, Custer & SDW but we shall see. Especially since we don't knOw who may blow up and leave early if the opportunity presents itself.
PG: Morris / Custer
SG: Thomas / Naz / SDW
SF: Unsigned player / SDW
PF: Niang / Unsigned Player
PF: Nader / Niang

Think he is talking Custers 2nd year which Hogue will be gone

Ah gotcha. We'll play small the next two years unless we land a big time recruit/transfer for 2014. It has positives on the offensive side of the ball and negatives on the defensive side.

Next year won't be small at all in comparison to last year.
Kane/Thomas/Hogue/Ejim/Niang
6-4", 6-4", 6-6", 6-6", 6-7"
