Collin Bevins Leaving Iowa State

This is kind of like a girlfriend breaking up with you because they "Don't want a relationship right now" and then you run into them with a new boyfriend two weeks later.
And he is a total loser......

At first I was like, Lolwut, and then I was like, LOLwut.

And he has a neck tattoo, lives in a trailer, and does meth......

Let's remember, it's NWMSU

I expected this type of reaction. If it is true he is playing for NWMS then he is following through with what he said by moving to a smaller town. Some were sure he was going to be a Hawk. Wish the kid good luck and move on.

Still could be but agreed.

According to google maps

Crestion, IA to Ames, IA is 1 hour 53 minutes away
Creston, IA to Maryville, MO is 1 hour 21 minutes away

yeah that extra 30 minutes is really rough

At least he has a better grasp of geography than Justin Hamilton, so there's that.

His heart wasn't into it here. Would you rather he stuck around when he didn't want to be here? Good luck and God bless.

I talked to someone on the Creston staff this afternoon. He is giving up football period. He was coming home every weekend and he wasn't wanting to come back to Ames. Too bad. Apparently his heart just isn't into football or school right now.

Whomever that "someone on the Creston staff" is, telling you he was giving up football period, was...just misinformed then? Or..? Didn't take long to sign up with MWMS.

I'm guessing he couldn't hack it here. D-1 football I'm sure is as much of a mental grind as physical.

He had the physical skills to be successful, but it's pretty clear be didn't have the head to be successful even if he'd stayed. Just another wasted talent.

Maybe the classes and work-outs will be easier, and more of his high school party buddies are there. There is no logical reason for him to abandon an ISU starting position and a possible NFL career to play for University of Hooterville. The kid contributed absolutely nothing to ISU for one year and walks out when he is needed the most. He says he's giving up the sport, and a few days later he signs at a lower level program. My guess is that he was reprimanded or was disgruntled and this is some immature form of payback (aka the Phil Bates maneuver).
