Might be tempting for Pat Riley to let him go with guys like George Karl available. Maybe Stan Van Gundy would get a 2nd chance?

Unless Pat Riley has spent all his time in Florida discovering the fountain of youth, I don't see Spoelstra getting the ax.

I hear Doug Collins is available. Or maybe they can trade Spo for Scott Brooks.

If Indiana can keep their pieces, if the Bulls stay healthy, things get worse and worse for the heat in the future.
I really feel like those teams are going to be very, very competitive.

I could see Phil Jackson getting the Heat job if Spoelstra gets axed. He loves to inherit a ready made team.

Hire Van Gundy. You never should have run him out. He has taken average teams a long ways and one could argue that, had Wade not gotten hurt and SVG had not left, he would have won two championships there.

Yes, I think ES will be fired if they don't win. PS: didn't Wade recover from his injuries before the Indy playoff, or is he still ailing?

LeBron probably will nix Stan.

Unlikely. There's some history between SVG and Pat Riley going back to 2010 when SVG was still in Orlando. If the Heat lose the Finals, and it's a long way from over, then I just don't see Spo getting canned. For one, he's Riley's handpicked coach and having him there allows Riley to maintain total control over everything. An experienced coach is likely going to demand more power and a bigger say in organizational matters.
Honestly, I don't see the Heat blowing up the core win or lose this year. My guess is they'll reload with some more role players and take another crack at it. They could amnesty Chris Bosh or try to trade him I suppose, but if they dump him then who do they replace him with? There aren't a lot of guys out there who fit the profile necessary to play as a big man in Miami's small ball offense.
