Also went on the trip... Hilton is like heaven compared to that dump!!
Also, it says alot about your student section when the road team brings more students than show up for their own home game!!
Makes me think Cyclone Alley may not be all that bad of a thing...
I went on the trip too, and I completely agree with the above posts. The Bob Devaney Sports Center is horrible, and their fans are worse. I couldn't stop commenting during the game how embarrassing it must be to be a Nebraska Basketball fan. Wow. They spent most of the game in complete silence, wondering why that big glob of yellow up in the corner wouldn't quiet down so they could watch the game in peace...
Yeah, especially when you ignore that student attendance has dropped off significantly since it's inception.
well what i found the funiest about the whole trip was their student section spent more time chanting back at us then chearing for their own team!! that and some 50 year old started talking smack to me about his 2-5 in conference team beating 2 teams without the full teams... they beat mizzou without 5 of their top 8 players and then our best player... both at home and both by less than 10... SOLID PROGRAM!!
also heard a stat today that proves how great and how much tradition they have... 1 of very few teams to NEVER HAVE A NCAA TOURNY WIN!!!

I think they're talking to all the non-students *****ing about the students not showing up, rather than wether Cyclone Alley is a good organization or not.
Yes Cyclone Alley is probally harming our student section, but our hampered student section is still better than Nebraska's
HA! Wasn't that great... You know we have some fan power when they turn away from the game to yell at us up in the corner. We did our jobs today. Good work everyone.
Oh and one more thing for those of you not at the game, the Devaney Sports Center has such low attendance, birds are now inhabiting the premises.

I agree. Nebbie's MBB following is trash. Especially because half of their fans want everything besides football to do poorly so that their football teams seem to be elite.
I know that's what they're talking about, but saying that CA is "not that bad of a thing" when student attendance has dropped off as much as it has in the past 10 years is dumb at best.
I thought I saw one fly by on TV, but all my friends thought I was crazy. good to know I wasn't seeing things!
Why doesn't NU go out and throw a ton of money at a big time coach and get their MBB on the map? They have the cash and it has been done recently (Florida). Yes, NU is a football school and everyone says you can't get out from the FB shadow, but you would think they could do better than having more birds than students attend the games.

I just thought I'd clairify the point, as the thread is making fun of Nebraska not dredging up the problems at home - we just had 20 threads of that! I thought we could enjoy a little bashing of others for once insted of fighting amongst ourselves
I loved the atmosphere by the Cyclone Alley students today. I was there yelling through my street cone converted Cyclone yelling machine and had the greatest time even though we lost. Cyclone Alley may have its weak points. I think Cyclone Alley needs to stay in existence, but the way it is ran and how it is operated needs a little chance. It needs to be revamped. These trips would not be possible without Cyclone Alley. Cyclone Alley makes this kind of thing possible, yet the home atmosphere is different than what we saw today. Today was all hardcore bashing and screaming. I have no voice left to yell tonight while I party, which is what I love. Make every game, home or away, just like that and Cyclone Alley or no Cyclone Alley will survive.
And Nebraska cares about one thing...Nebraska football, which is more of a laughing matter than the Devaney Center, whatever that lame building is called. "Where's your students?!" Enough said.
